How many students can we have in our group?
As many as you want! Obviously the smaller the group, the more expensive the fieldtrip becomes - but most groups average about 30 students. On the other hand, we have one school which has now grown to four coach loads to accommodate their entire year group! If the group is over 45 students, two coaches, each with its own guide, are provided.
Are there any free places?
There is one free place per ten students. Usually this means all teachers go free.
How do we make arrangements for students with special needs?
You will be asked to notify us of any special needs, such as diet or disability, at the time of booking so that all arrangements are made prior to departure.
How do I make a booking?
Simply complete the enquiry form and forward it to us. An itinerary will be provided tailor made to your requirements. Payment of the deposit (£50 per paying member) within one month of receiving your itinerary secures the booking.
What passport do I need?
You can choose to organise a collective passport, or leave each student to provide their own. As young people are no longer allowed to travel on their parents’ passport, you may find that many students already have their own passport. The choice is yours.
Are the demands you make of students not rather heavy?
In our experience the students become absorbed by what the guides do and how they do it. They respond very positively to the range of sites and stimuli used and their evaluations overwhelmingly show they love their tour. Staff and parents report that students talk about their experience long after their return.
Nevertheless, your guide will confer with you throughout about the programme and be guided by your advice on what is appropriate for your group.
There is free time every day and both the first and last days are entirely for leisure.
