What You Will Need

You must carry a current passport which remains valid for six months after the tour ends. You can apply for a passport or renew your current one online at www.passport.gov.uk.

You are most strongly encouraged to obtain a EHIC (European Health Insurance Card) available online at www.dh.gov.uk/travellers or from the Post Office. It provides you with free emergency medical or dental treatment.

Mercat Tours International recommends you take out travel insurance to cover the loss of deposit, cancellation, loss of baggage or money, medical, additional board and travel expenses. We provide information on one product, Tourplan, which you may elect to use.

How We Protect You

Mercat Tours International has a public liability policy which covers you against any injury incurred through our fault.

In accordance with the EC Directive on Package Holidays, all monies received by Mercat Tours International are deposited in a Trust Fund administered by Anderson Strathern WS, Edinburgh. It means your monies are safeguarded until after the tour and can be refunded to you in the unlikely instance of cancellation by us.
